Crofter's Ale + Starter Kit
A full flavoured and filling ale, you won’t have to eat your porridge oats after having one of these. The oats and wheat give the flavour a boost yet there is more to it than your standard stout.
Creating ale in the medieval period was a less delicate process. The ingredients wouldn’t be carefully picked but whatever one had on hand, they rarely even distinguished between grains because it was more important that you were able to get something. This is why you often see interesting ingredients like oats slip in, it bulks up the ale and cooks with your grains at the same time. It just so happens that sometimes this actually leads to something quite delicious.
Crofter’s Ale should come out about 6-7%, don’t worry if yours is slightly different so long as it tastes good.
