Jolly Juleøl Christmas Ale

  • A dark and heavy Christmas beer, instead of spices it is more simple and stout-like. A more traditional Scandinavian style that can still make it feel like Christmas.

Juleøl is pronounced J-U-EL, like saying jewel and Yule together.

A lot of Christmas beers are not to everyone’s tastes, so here we are offering an alternative that might suit you better. Juleøl means Christmas Beer and is a very old style. Stretching at least a thousand years back (possibly longer and predating Christmas celebrations) it was brewed by farmers for holiday celebrations. A feast wouldn’t be complete without it, so the punishment for not brewing it could be pretty harsh. I’d get on with it quick if I were you.

Jolly Juleøl should come out about 4-5%, don’t worry if yours is slightly different so long as it tastes good.
